HAGATÑA – The Consulate General of the Philippines wishes to inform the community of the promotion of Mr. Kerwin Orville C. Tate to the rank of Foreign Service Officer Class II, with the designation of Consul by virtue of an appointment signed by Her Excellency President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo dated 20 December 2008.

Consul Tate has been with the Philippine Consulate General in Guam since September 2004, when he was assigned as a Vice Consul. He is currently serving as the Consulate’s Executive Officer. He joined the Department of Foreign Affairs after passing the Foreign Service Examinations in 1999, and has served the Department in various capacities as Acting Director of the Property, Maintenance and Transportation Division, Principal Assistant at the Office of Asian and Pacific Affairs and Acting Director of the Authentication Division of the Office of Consular Affairs.  - END -
